The oompa lumpas are no longer short, Augustus gloop is no longer fat
It won’t be long before all kids book will be
“Once upon there was a child.
They were happy
The end”
That assumes we haven’t cancelled happiness

The bird is going to a production this evening, all about cross-dressing and various historical interpretations of alternative sexuality choices. There’s also references to the outdated class system, and scrutiny of women’s rights in the workplace.
Apparently it’s called Cinderella, unfortunately I can’t attend myself as I have a prior engagement in Portsmouth Guildhall for the Musical Box. (Report to follow on the gigs thread

I once did a stand up gig in the early 2000s, starting with the lines
“My pronouns are fuck off you cunts”
There was outrage. Audience was full of English teachers.
“Cunts is not a pronoun!”, one shouted as he shuttled for the exit.

Classic TV shows you probably shouldn’t watch with a woke young person.
Sample: Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
Erin Gray as Colonel Deering had to be sewn into her extremely tight catsuit, so this rather generic sci-fi series could be seen as a tad sexist. Certainly your woke young friend will find it appalling, although they may find themselves looking up clips on the internet to be appalled by in the privacy of their own bedroom.
