Wow, I never knew that squaw has historically been used as “an offensive ethnic, racial and sexist slur, particularly for Indigenous women”, the department said.

I guess it depends more on the use than the origin. The N word only means black, but obviously carries a very different connotation.
But if you’re black you can use the N word which completely baffles me.

Raaargh. This is now invading my professional life!
Got a message from a customer this morning asking for another change. It started with the worlds “Sorry Paul, you’re going to hate me”. I forward it off to the helpdesk and about two minutes later I get a flurry of undelivered mails coming into my inbox. Like hundreds.
They say that the server I’m using has been blacklisted. I look it up and sure enough, we’re listed on one of the abuse black lists, this morning. Spent the rest of it mass closing tickets and getting us delisted.
Arse biscuits.

Mate - great post. I’m sure I’ve posted before that this view is for some reason verboten in the MSM
Seems the clever use of (anti)social media has made it impossible for women to have a genuine voice in the conversation- which needs to be had, with compassion on all sides.

I thought it was a pretty compelling read. The irony is that Feminist News is only open for females to post on, so I’m wondering how long it will be before transwomen insist on their right to do so.
