The World Health Organization says it is working with experts to come up with a new name for monkeypox.
It comes after more than 30 scientists wrote last week about the “urgent need for a non-discriminatory and non-stigmatising” name for the virus and the disease it causes.

There seems to be a lof of it going about. This is one of the strongest rulings I’ve seen. “Any part of male puberty”.
They are talking about an open category for those who have changed - be interesting to see how that pans out - will people who have transitioned to women, who have lowered their testosterone be able to compete with their counterparts who have increased their testosterone (which definitely does improve performance)
That said - I bet it doesn’t stay that way - almost 50 countries voted against the move and you can guarantee that will be the rich ones

There might be a chance of them actually sorting this out before it becomes entrenched. 
I think for many, especially men, this is where the debate gets intelligible. A lot of women have long been concerned about having female only spaces and I reckon if you actually polled all women, you’d get a strong majority for keeping them.
Sports, and the difference between male and female ability in most of these pursuits, is something we’ve all had ingrained into us from a very young age. It’s universally understood that it is unfair for men and women to compete in most things. Trap shooting? Fine. Curling? Fine.
Rugby? Fucking hell. Can’t believe that was ever a thing.
