Perhaps you could just substitute the offending word for something more positive, like ‘neighbour’? Try this:

I refuse to do this. I also refuse to “Radio 1” myself and chop out so much of the lyrics there’s no point playing it.

I’ve given up trying to make any sense of the current crop of perceived or self-identified genders. I might be tempted to think this was all just manufactured hyperbole designed to appeal to the attention-seekers of the social media generation, combined with a circle jerk of virtue signalling by the organisations indulging in this sort of nonsense.
But that would be cynical.

Whatever you do don’t look on some of the threads on Mumsnet (so Mrs C_S tells me).
There are limits to their tolerance and if you’ve not gone through 24 hours of labour but still want to be recognised as able to wear a nice sparkly frock and glittery make-up in public or call yourself Davina rather than Dave with hands like shovels, a five o’clock shadow and use women only changing rooms, it ain’t gonna wash with them …take a peek (on Mumsnet) and it ain’t what the media is telling you about “gender” rights.

Why should it wash with them?
Women are getting dogpiled for saying something that should be fairly self-evident. Their concerns about having people born as male being in their spaces are going unheeded, or characterised as transphobia.
In reality, it’s fear of men and what some men are capable of.
They’re getting dogpiled because they don’t believe people born as men are women. The “cotton ceiling” crticitism of lesbians in particular is fucking disgusting.

I suspect you’re part of a larger group than you think. However, the sort of treatment that is doled out to those questioning some of the things that come under the trans banner, it’s not surprising few people bother.
Joanne Rowling can afford to say whatever the fuck she likes. Other women don’t really have the option in a climate where idiotic woke fuckers are calling for people to be sacked for having a concern.
