Are we becoming more xenophobic since Brexit?

More Trotskyist than Communist.

An 18 month old girlfriend could be a cultural thing so we can’t comment on it Bearsy…

Where have you been Bearsy. When Gay was a mere young whippersnapper of 26, with nothing more than a 1st in Biology and a 9k job, living in a bed sit inLondon, he had no girlfriend and could not even afford porn to masturbate to… those were the hard times bearsey… kids today with their free mobile phone web porn dont know they are born…

haha - your quality of insult is pretty poor to be honest - the thread title talks about an increase in xenophobia. If I can stand accused of anything its of insinuating that through your comments on opportunities being increased (through the closed borders? ) through brexit, that you might be treading a xenophobic line (and you are the only one on here who has suggested this is racist one… ) … its why I asked the question of the real smart folks as to how opportunities will increase for you and your pay through brexit, if it does NOT involve closed borders and a ‘reduction in competiotion’ seriously I am very interested in this…

I still do… just not prepared to just take the shit all day long. But no one need to fear as pap will come to their rescue… as long as its about issues he agrees with that is…

Ever consider how much shit you dish out these days, skip?

It’s quite different from ye olde FC days when I used to come to your aid.

Congratulations on the near perfect hypocrisy in that last comment, especially on a thread in which you are insulting people for not agreeing with your previous insults.

Gay does seem a lot more of an Angar man lately. Rallyboy too, I had no idea he was an Angar man, or at least I used to think he was only Angar at Portmouth, but he is v.angar sometimes. I watch 12 Angar Man bout once a year, gr8 film, but they got nothing on you cunts srs.

Do you consider tube drivers as ‘treading a line’?

They’ve managed (through militant protectionism) to up their wages to £50k & 40 days + of holiday.

They do this by discriminating against migrant labour (and others - students, single parents etc.) by proxy and only allowing people who’ve worked for TFL for 6 years to apply.

What say you to that?

About as much as you do Pap - you just dont think you do, or that your particular brand of insult is somehow acceptable because its wrapped in your own particular barbed style. I am no different from my old posts (and why not go whole hog an just out it) I am still just as opinionated and an unwilling to compromise as I was then, only as you suffered equally you were less judgemental. I have not insulted anyone… I have asked questions that make people uncomfortable- you merely saying its insulting does not make it so… but whilst you run the show, I guess your word is worth so much more…

No anger Bear - I just tend to point out politely when people are abusive or out of order.

That’s cool isn’t it?

But this is the thing, they aren’t genuine questions.

They’re entirely rhetorical, and desgined to imply the insult or accusation that you haven’t got the balls to make.

That’s why I called you a coward and a rat. You come off like a stereotypical rich, snivelling little lawyer kind of type.

I would say well done to the RMT, it makes sense someone driving your train has experience and knowledge of the system, it also allows a good progression and promotion of staff. Start at the bottom and work your way up.

Mate of mine went to the underground control centre other day, and they was saying they don’t even need or want train drivers anymore. The system can run the whole thing no probs. They just have the train drivers sitting their like dummies, cos it makes passengers feel safer, and cos they’re scared of the Unions.

50k is a large salary. However, believe me. Someone of your generation earning that sort of money, will hardly be better off then you are now. Particularly when you add a kid or two, a mortgage and a wife to the equation.

You need to get angry and you need to get even and quick. It will soon be too late for you.

The closure of Ticket Offices may be the reason for such a wait as well, in house re organisation and recruitment freeze to avoid compulsory redundancies?

Gay angry or Rallyboy angry?

It’s the new way of measuring anger. Like Johnno quick.

haha - OK lets play your little game. I accuse you of being xenophobic.

There, said it.

Why do I draw this conclusion?

Because you have said the following:

  1. You voted purely for selfish reasons

  2. You believe that Brexit will increase your opportunity for progression and better pay

  3. You have stated that one reason for this is less competition. NOw forgive me, but this IMPLIES directly that its linked to a reduction in foreign workers competing in the U, or how else would there be less competition?

  4. I and others began by suggesting that brexit would NOT lead to any less competition- I have repeatedly made this point and also asked the question to everyone ‘with a bigger brain than me’ how Brexit is meant to achieve your vision of less competition without restricting access to UK jobs by foreign EU workers - no one has answered this simple question

  5. You can be xenophobic wothout being racist - they are two different things - only you have used the term ‘racist’ - along with rat and coward - the cynic in me would suggest deliberately so as its much more emotive…

  6. ‘sterotypical, rich, snivelling little lawyer’ really? you sound like a sterotypical spoilt little kid who thinks it should all just be given to him if he wants it bad enough…(if you want to tread that path of insult exchange)

My point is very simple - what you have now is NORMAL for someone of your age - in fact its not a bad situation for someone of your age compared to many who have it much harder (which is why the snivelling little lawyer bit is so funny) - yet you think its bad and will get better by removing the competition. Many disagree. Indeed many also feel that voting brexit because of foreign workers impacting on local opportunities is xenophobic… as your opportunities in the sector you seem to be chosing are not going to get any easier or less competitive because of brexit.

Mate, I don’t really need to insult people and compared to my TSW persona, this is a pussycat variant. Even so, the only time I tend to invoke my impressive powers of insult is when someone has done so first, and often these days, not even then.

You’re now insulting me and this forum further by suggesting that my words are more important than anyone elses. If I truly believed that, there would have been no point starting this forum. I could have just written for myself and re-read whatever I wrote. I might have even finished that novel I keep thinking about. Or at least started it.

I can’t say that what I’ve read on football forums has always been enlightening, especially in hostile environments where opinions are readily mocked. We are becoming more like that and I’m not entirely keen. I can say that when the insults start flying, whoever fired first has normally lost the argument.
