After initally having the all clear on my 2 litre diesel Audi A4 when the scandal broke I subsequently got a notification that my car was affected and I should await the recall.
That was November last year, the notice saying the fix would be implimented early in 2016.
Today I get an “update” through the post saying they are working through the affected vehicles and I will be notified in due course.
An update of sweet FA again telling me sweet FA. Has anyone had their’s done yet?
Can you sue them, saying that I Would Never Have Bought This Car If I Knew True Emissions Figures Cos I Care V.Deeply Bout Environment? My dad reckons he qualifies for Full Refund under Sale Of Goods Act bc Car is not “As Described”.
I would like to think so but the motoring press say no compensation. What pisses me off particularly at the moment is I want to sell it but I doubt if anyone will want to buy one that hasn’t had the recall.
FYI Bearsy I’m a sandal wearing tree-hugger. I am traumatised by the exposé…I feel dirtier than Pap’s thingeys.

Yes and I’m in the same position as you.
I’ll think twice about buying a VW again and I’ll certainly not be buying a diesel either.

Only had initial notification from VW regarding mine - no further communication as yet.
Will be majorly pissed if vehicle licence goes up as a result as was a major reason for the purchase (£30 pa for 2.0 TDI) - doubt will have much comeback though, as bought second hand.
Actually got a new car being delivered today - and didn’t go Audi as I didn’t trust them…
Can’t blame you. I’ve had VAG cars for the last 25 years and have been loyal to the brand but now being punished for that loyalty.
Vag cars? Is that like BMW being a dick car

You must have the same colleagues as me - they say the same thing.
But I love my VAG. always had VAG and will continue to purchase VAG. If folks think its only VAG that has been naughty in this way then that is pretty naive… VAG just first to be caught being naughty…

It costs a fucking fortune, gives you nothing but trouble, and the bloke next door always seems to have something better.
