I dont know. Perhaps a case could have been made against them for playing Johnson when perhaps they shouldnt?

Pretty honourable of her IMO. As she says, Johnson lied to the club and the fans, as well as the media and the police. It’s easy to criticise them in hindsight after Johnson admitted he was guilty.

I looked up the CPS sentencing guidelines for Interest it cites 7 cases:
19yo banged a 13yo: Got 9 months
22yo did unspecified with a 13yo: Got 2 yrs
31yo (teacher) got off with 13yo (pupil: Got 9 months
19yo banged a 13yo: Got 6 months
41yo fingered a 14yo: Got 12 months
64yo wanked off a 12yo: Got 18 months
23yo banged a 15yo: Got 30 weeks
I do wonder if they are making Example of Him. Not that I have much sympathy.

Of course they are, I outlined that before.
The issue for me is whether that should be part of sentencing.
He pleaded **not guilty ** in early hearings putting his victim through all kinds of shit in the media/social media. That was the reason for the lengthy sentence.
Fuck him - he knew what he was doing, he actively pursued the girls over months, he knew what he was doing was wrong (he looked up the age of consent on his pc). Couldn’t give a shit if other people got lighter sentences for the same thing. He used his fame and position to satisfy his perversions.

All other cases are irrelevant unless they involved the same level of grooming and identical age/relationship etc.
He groomed a child and abused his public position, he then made her relive it in court as his defence team tried to mentally break her - and continue to do so with the appeal process, under HIS instruction.
I see no problem with the sentence at all.

I see one of his sentences is to run concurrently. This really used to wind me up when I worked for the CPS. It you serrve two sentences side by side you are not really being punished for one of the crimes committed. It is only 4 months but given that he wont serve the full 6 years to me it should really be 6 years and 4 months.
I’m not keen on the extreme animal porn, I prefer the soft stuff.
And for anyone still trying to excuse his behaviour I’m sure he only enjoyed the rape of the pretty farm animals, the ones that were up for it.
Because let’s face it, if they insist on strutting around the farmyard with everything on show they are all clearly gagging for it.
