Back in maybe 96/97 Jordan held a oomputer exhibition. They (the State) put up incentives to get us there, we debated the idea at the old Boston Bar in town said why not.
The 3om guy had to bail early and legged it from Amman to London, but Feras & Etienne from Microsoft were the other team members (The latter is now mega high up in their EMEA gaming) Feras rented a car we legged from Amman to Jerash on Day 1 and then down to Petra. We all wore the gear did the pretending to be Indiana thing walked the whole fucking site - no lunch no prep or guides just an Arabic leaflet - awesome - I did the Swing ow joke they didn’t understand (Palestinian and French)
On way home stopped at Le Meridien Dead Sea bunked in and blagged the Pool changing rooms and did the swim thing. Awesome
ouple of years later had to do it again with the ex Mrs P_F she was moaning all day
