🌥⛈ Actually any Holiday 2021 / 22 / 23/ 24 / 25

Went for a week. Great place. Every restaurant had the same menu.
Great wine & meat was lamb, chicken or Chateaubriand.
Fresh whitebait in the harbour was epic.

Was only 34 years ago

So, priority security, lounge brekkie and beers of shame done.

Whinny kid and mother moved from next to me

Not a full plane so plenty of room for me to stretch out for a snooze :+1:

We’ve been in Bardolino since Saturday afternoon and seen blazing sun, howling winds, fearsome thunderstorms and torrential rain, all within 72 hours. Cracking stuff.

Lyme Regis is a hilly bastard and I found out that not only can I not walk far but I really can’t walk uphill.

The was also a folk music festival on and the bloody place was rammed full of grockles (yes i can see the irony of a grockle complaining about grockles)

Best moment was being holed up in the pub watching footie on my phone whilst the rest of the party went off to play crazy golf, and a massive party of sea shanty singers turned up an gave an impromptu concert.

Having to drink buckets of this, 5% - the beverage of choice for locals. It’s OK, 5.8/10

drinks are included in the hotel price so was suggesting that we’re not getting fobbed off with weaker stuff - hic!

Many years ago Lady Slowlane and I played that course. It’s way above the promenade and in an effort to make a bold approach shot, managed only to bounce the ball off the head of a young mother pushing a pushchair 60 feet below.
It remains one of Lyme Regis’s unsolved mysteries and is still spoken about in local pubs.

Ummm.

Are you sure?

I think you’re just vaguely remembering an episode of Broadchurch…

Of course I’m sure, I was questioned by the local Gestapo.
Oh ah, I think that was another mini-series.

Spent the day in Budva - sooo many guided tours. Difficult to enjoy the place - but I guess we’re tourists too. Mind you we’ve spent a fair bit of time eating and drinking so doing something positive for the locals.

Mind you I didn’t know that Hawiaii was so close to Montenegro and the fare is so reasonable

Top man.

Just need to get your arses to Kotor now and hike up to the 14 century Castle overlooking the harbour, to work off all that scoff and drink

It just means they give you a ham and pineapple pizza en-route.

With forecast temperatures of +30c you can do one with that suggestion thanks

Do they do taxis?

And not burnt

Lightweight! I hiked up in 32 degrees.

OK I did it at 9am to avoid the worst of it. But the view is pretty decent when you get up there

I only got halfway up the track to the castle but in my defence, the chap I was walking with had a heart condition and he thought it might be too much for him. I wish I’d carried on without him but it seemed bad form to desert him half way.

So, two nights and two monster thunderstorms- last night it also rained a bit but tonight across the bay and clear sky above. Shit at capturing Live Photos, but this might give a flavour
