Made it to the tranquility of a French campsite: the start of badly-needed 5 week break.
We’re at Versailles and despite being so close to Paris it’s really quiet. Going to the Palais gardens today for a stroll then the palace itself tomorrow for a bit of culture.
Was fascinated to discover that the longest road tunnel entirely in France (10km) runs directly beneath our campsite. Shame we can’t use it as there’s a 2m height limit. The two carriageway are on two levels, one above the other, in the same tunnel.

So - what are my genuine personal impressions of Montenegro?
Some very nice scenery and old towns. Nothing standout that you can’t see anywhere else in that part of the Med tbh.
Weirdly full of young Russian families being excruciating polite and not mentioning the war with Ukraine - they don’t need a visa to live or holiday there either. Hmmm 
An Eastern European level of comedy and taste - @Polski_Filip understands this….
Casually racist. Not LGBTQt-abcdefg friendly by all accounts either.
Outside of EU roaming.
Mad driving & very steep roads - not a good mix
Food generally very fresh but monotonous, mostly without a hint of spices
The staff at our hotel were polite and friendly though
Weather was lovely - mad insect stings notwithstanding 
Just didn’t feel 100% right.
Imho obviously.
