I think it is right that he does it publicly - what is the point of having a massive public profile if you donā€™t leverage that if you are trying to do some good.

Now if he was a narcissistic twat to begin with, ie Beckham / Ronaldo then I would probably agree that it was self serving, but he doesnā€™t strike me as such.

and anyone who walks onto the SMS pitch in anything other than our colours is a cunt, at least for the next couple of hours

When I worked in Greece there were a couple of stray dogs that would follow us on our mountain bike rides, sometimes for 15-20km, weā€™d give them water along the way and started bringing sausages from the breakfast buffet for them as it became a pretty regular occurance :lou_smiley:
