That was a fucking weird old game. I’m pleased England won but I’m left with a niggling feeling that Dhoni was trying to chuck it. Am I being massively uncharitable?
I hadn’t considered that but he’s certainly opened himself up to those accusations.
It just looked like he unilaterally took the decision that batting out their overs was more important than trying to win.
Odd. And, for the paying public, scandalous.
