Not content with her āfunny tingeā comment.
Ā£22k golden handshake. Surely a lot of MPs already have some extra cash coming in. Some may even have a partner who may help them out whilst they apply for another job.

Lol - imagine turning up for one last feed to find some git had swiped the trough
True
Itās alright, he has said sorry. Or he said I didnāt say that in my head I meant something else, or something.
Think No 10 told him to stop being a twat
I think his apology amounts to this from what I makeout: āI would of course have followed advice by the fire service, but with hindsight I would have ignored them and tried to evacuateā.
I guess Rees-Mogg has a DeLorean in his bedroom for such events.
Not really relevant but might sway voters given Corbyns promises to empower the Unions
RMT have promised 27 days of strikes in December on SWT
Makes you wonder how much they are paid if they can forgo a months salary before xmas
The Conservative Party in Wales suffering a meltdown after Ross England was forced to stand down as candidate for Vale of Glamorgan after his role in the collapse of a rape trial emerged. Cabinet Minister, Alun Cairns, the Welsh Secretary blatantly lied last week when he denied knowing about Englandās role in the trialās collapse until ālast weekā. An e mail, seen by BBC Wales, was sent to Alun Cairns in August 2018 detailing his former aideās role in the trialās collapse. The e mail was copied to the director of the Welsh Conservatives. A Welsh Conservative source has told BBC Wales, āI really canāt see how he can carry on - the toxic nature of these revelations could bring down the whole Conservative campaign in Walesā. āIf he did have any decency heād put the party and country first and resignā. I donāt think anyone will be holding their breath on that one! Downing Street was asked to comment on Cairnās position, also that of Rees Mogg, and replied, āThe Prime Minister has full confidence in Alun Cairns and Jacob Rees Moggā. So thatās OK then, nothing to see here!
Meanwhile the Toxic Tories caught out practicing their dirty tricks, doctoring an interview Keir Starmer had with Piers Morgan on GMB, then putting it out on their official site, where it is still up despite calls for it to be taken down. This is blatantly fraudulent which the Electoral Commission should surely investigate. But again, donāt hold your breath.

Most unions have hardship funds to provide some basic cover.
All for more workers rights.
Makes me wonder how desperately they believe in their cause.
Nye Bevan wasnāt wrong - āLower than verminā.
Rees-Mogg is forced into profoundly apologising.
This is the good thing about elections. Not much Parliamentary business going on. Lots of focus on the shit actually being said.
Whilst this is being put forward as a debate over the relative safety of guardless trains - I do wonder if
A) those concern may disappear if suitable recompense is forthcoming
B) the timing is more about electioneering (like the post union threatening the postal ballot) than it is about the root cause
But hasnāt this issue been going a while and so you hope that it will be resolved but eventually you have to go on strike.
Iād like guards to be on trains, Iād like more staff really especially on later trains when I may be travelling on my own. I was sexually harassed many years ago and would have liked more staff about. It may also help identify kids on county lines too.
Personally I am not sure taking guards off is ideal
Particularly from the perspective of enabling disabled people getting on and off
But that said the train companies have a duty of care and I donāt know what has been proposed to address these issues and whether they have been given fair consideration
I cannot see the staff striking for a month before Xmas - that just feels like a headline grabber and a bit of leverage. I think it will however damage Labour because it will be shown that additional union power will result in more of this
On the subject of worker rights, should unions get more rights or should workers get more rights instead, or have we got it right about now. And if we havenāt what is missing?
I am pretty sure no jobs are planned to go. The plan is that guards will not operate the doors - presumably meaning they will have more time to help passengers? Drivers already operate doors on many other lines, again presumably with RMT members on them? Nuts if so
Then I guess the question is on those trains where this system has been implemented, what has the safety record been like and has customer service been adversely affected.
Having had a bit to read up , guards would remain on board, it just enables the train to operate in exceptional circumstances if, for instance, the guard did not turn up on shift for what ever reason.
Is this a case of the Union objecting to a potential loss of leverage?
