đŸ€Ș 2019 General Election Discussion :gov:

Being fair, that’s a very difficult question. Why is anyone racist? What drives that in people? I saw a bit of a programme about why people murder. It’s complex and there aren’t any easy answers

You keep telling us.

Thanks for that, i didn’t know she was on.

Niel gave her an easy ride. A sign for Johnson?
Although i’ll accept the argument “just let her talk, she’ll destroy herself”.

Swinson is captivating TV. How she managed to look like a complete fraud every time she spoke is a truly amazing skill, just not for a party leader. She really is the female Ricky Gervais.

That’s her and the Remembrance Day drunk out of the picture in any sane world. Surely?

On the subject of the Remembrance Day drunk, have the bbc(after admitting their ‘mistake’) shown the real clip even once?

You may dislike Ricky Gervais but since he broke out, he has been an occasionally prolific talent and has maintained a cohort of people that like him.

The same can’t be said for Jo Swinson.

Sorry, only meant his character in the office when comparing with Swinson.
Every time she opens her mouth, no matter the subject, she comes across as someone that has no idea, but is more than happy to lie.

That was quite funny. It just goes to show how difficult trying to predict the outcome of this election will be. I do take some comfort in knowing that the Billionaires will be skint after Brexit though.

In 2019 Great Britain, the level of child poverty is a fucking scandal - as is lying about it.
How do the austerity MPs sleep at night?
Shameful.

How can they still be blaming Labour for stuff they’ve not sorted in 9 bloody years.

I’ve said it many times, but Jo Swinson is easily the most annoying figure in British politics right now and she plays on a very competitive field.

Because they’ve no new ideas. It possibly worked for the first five years; they got a majority in 2015.

That excuse ran out then.

They will lie about fucking anything, Nik. This London Bridge attack is the perfect example.

Convicted while they were in power, sentenced while they were in power, sentence reduced while they were in power and released while they were in power. Yet somehow it’s Labour’s fault.

They’re fucking shameless.

Yep.
He’s not happy with Boris.

Andrew Neil has developed over the years into one of the best political interviewers we have at the moment.

Unfortunately, I can’t see him without thinking of “that” picture in Private Eye, and consequently find it impossible to take him seriously.

There are two types of people in the world, those that can recognize a witch hunt when they see it, and those that can’t.

People will only recognise that which reinforces their misconceptions
'tis why independent fact checker sites are so ineffective and the unscrupulous are rewarded for lying. :frowning:
