Interesting point about JT. Iām looking forward to the photos of him hanging out the back of his mates wife. Maybe Sarah Vine has fallen for his Walter the Softy charms and dusted off the old growler for him.
I think most of us here already know this but such is the anti-Corbyn media juggernaut it would be very difficult to advance this anywhere but social media and how effective is that in changing attitudes.
Antisemitism claims have one goal - Jonathan Cook
I am waiting for the big posters of Jezza standing in front of the gate of āwork campā replacing āArbeit Macht Freiā With Labour isnāt working and we will be good to goā¦
⦠failing that, it would be great to have a few posters in the side of a bus that simply points out the difference between anti-semitism and being critical of Israeli Government human rights abuses against the Palestinians⦠folks seem to believe stuff written on busesā¦
He wonāt be grilling Johnson as heās refusing to be interviewed.
So, as predicted, it looks like Johnson is going to duck out of his interview with Andrew Neil. The BBC have confirmed that although negotiations are ongoing with Johnsonās team they are refusing to confirm a date. Insiders are saying,āitās obviously not going to happen, there is no way Boris Johnson will turn up to be grilled by Andrew Neilā. Pretty disgraceful that the BBC went ahead with Corbyn and the other party leaders without getting the Tory leader to agree to one. Johnson and Cummings have obviously decided that being called a coward is slightly more preferable than Johnson being exposed on live TV as a lying bullshitter, racist and homophobe. After he pulled out of the Channel 4 debate last Sunday i suspected this would happen.
Empty chair him.
Just Neil and a chair and a ton of fucking anger.
Iād pay to watch it.
The general consensus is that it isnāt the big smoking gun
Itās not even a spud gun
Not only that, it is bloody easy to defend - even if there was something particularly bad in there, he would just say it wasnāt on his watch and the policy has changed.
This should land the BBC in big trouble, heads should roll, but of course they wonāt. Coming on top of the doctored footage this is starting to look very dodgy. Perhaps they should just get Laura Kuenssberg to do the interview, she seems to be acting as Johnsonās spokesperson/spin doctor!
When the dust settles after the election, regardless of the result, the BBC political team needs to be dismantled from top to bottom. They are clearly in breach of the impartiality rules, the decisions they are making are clearly intended to skew the election results in favour of the Conservatives. Just one other point which gives food for thought, Andrew Neil is Chairman of the Spectator, a right wing Conservative supporting publication. His political editor is married to Dominic Cummings.
I think this is wrong
I have always hated these debates but he should face an interview.
They probably figure that the fallout from not doing it will be a lot less that the fallout from doing a Corbyn
Where did you get the āgeneral consensusā from?
Reading about it - if there was something horrific in there he would have been put to the sword, he hasnāt.
Why do you think there were so many redactions?
No idea - commercial sensitivity? Like that ambassadors report on Trump?
Probably more along the lines of electorally disastrous if it got out.
Remember the fuss over social care plans during the last election?
Even more people give a fuck about the NHS. Barring those seeking to profit from the illness or accidents of others, it might be the only thing that unites this country.
I think the difference between this and the social care issue was that the social care issue was part of the manifesto - this time the Tories have the NHS protected according to their manifesto so they can just deny away as opposed to frantically scurry around like May did
The only thing is nobody believes a word they say. So yes, they can deny away but it wonāt do them any good.
