đŸ€Ș 2019 General Election Discussion :gov:

The very racist today version was the one I was thinking of.

It makes me wonder how much they’re prepared to sacrifice before Christmas for their jobs I suppose.

The only way to do that is a higher tax rate for all, I am for that by the way, most in this Country are selfish cunts though and moan all the time about their tax rate and how much they pay.

I dont have an issue with higher taxes for higher taxes and would probably accept 50% at the higher end. I have a massive issue with how it is spent and frittered away by governments.

Any kind of contract negotiation, the public sector gets fucked over because those doing the negotiation don’t measure up to the other side

I was aware of one MOD contract where the call out to fix a printer cost more than a brand new one in Curry’s, but that option was not available because they had to buy kit from the supplier and they cost three times the price.

We recently bought a ton of IT kit and we went back and back on price until the bidders began to walk away. We were shaving £6 off per PC at the end . Then we new we had reached the best price. That kind of thing doesn’t happen enough in the public sector.

One thing I will say though, if the tax rate does hit 50% I reserve the right to grumble because I am bloody paying for the privilege

The Tories have chosen an apologist for rapists as candidate for a seat in Norfolk. First the guy in Wales, now this Alan Partridge wannabe. They really do have a problem in this department, ‘soft on rape, soft on the causes of rape’.

Has the tearful Ian Austin picked up his BAFTA yet for the emotionally charged performance on TV earlier?
It was straight out of a really shit Eastenders script, the one where Ange gets all flirty at New Year and Den gets paid by a foreign government to further their agenda of shooting kids

All this duplicity has obviously been very trying on this man.

He seems to have aged at a rate only bettered by the chap at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Sadly enough, I don’t think Austin will be out of a job.

I just watched his performance on Channel 4 news, at least Jon Snow attempted to question him properly but was just ignored by Austin who just kept ranting on. The clip of him and the sex pest Woodcock, standing in front of that massive poster defaming Corbyn, wringing their hands was vomit inducing. This campaign is going to be dirty, Corbyn should just keep trying to rise above it. More pertinent is the question, why was Austin all over the airwaves today, especially the BBC, but also Sky. On Radio 4 this morning, political editor Nick Robinson,(former chairman of the Young Conservatives), allowed Austin pretty much a free anti Corbyn rant for 10 minutes. Likewise on morning TV. So far there has been no attempt to follow the fair play rules where parties are allowed equal time. Austin’s performances today were clearly on behalf of the Conservative Party, but the broadcasters won’t count it as part of the Conservative party quota. Shocking.
Craig Murray nailed it today, asking the right questions. Who is backing and funding this, clearly organized campaign by Austin and co, huge high quality banners printed up, prime slots on TV and radio all day to spew their bile?

For the answer to that we need to go back a few months, anyone remember this story back in June? What is happening now is the start of ‘Pushback’. People go on about secret Russian influence in our democracy, but the reality is that The State of Israel and the USA are subverting it in plain sight, aided and abetted and cheered on by overwhelming majority of the establishment, aided and abetted and cheered on by the overwhelming majority of our media. Very worrying times for democracy in this country.

Looking quite interesting so far, The Tories are starting to crack, and Boris, quite a good performer in small chambers and the right material, is not doing so well in the big wide world.

Labour is also avoiding Brexit, as they did in the last election. It’ll be interesting to see how many other people will ignore it.

I was reading a tweet earlier that is getting a bit of coverage, (Not in the MSM of course, heaven forbid), from a woman who had a daughter in the sixth form at that school. They were told that a “Minister” was visiting, and all sixth formers were confined to their common room during the visit, weren’t allowed to see him. Very telling!
I watched the clip of Johnson, who was clearly in his cups, giving his drunken speech at the crisp factory in Northern Ireland last night. Absolutely none of it made sense, quite unbelievable that here we have a British Prime Minister, clearly half pissed, giving a speech which was a mixture of downright lies and meaningless ramblings. Contradicted himself over his wonderful new deal, making it all up as he went along. In any sensible society you would expect this to be on all the front pages, the lead item on the news. But no,the Labour candidate in Johnson’s constituency allegedly made a dodgy remark when he was a 16 year old schoolboy, so must stand down was today’s message from our wonderful free press.
God help us all!

As if by magic

The BBC is shitting itself over post Brexit funding
hence the BJ for BJ. The rest of the media is pretty much Murdoch owned
and will no doubt all be after EU legislation is revoked and he can buy what he likes, say what he likes, invade peoples privacy (Levinson can go fuck himself!) and generally be the cunt that he is to an even greater extent

The sad thing is though
is it the fault of the MSM, or the stupidity / ignorance of the folks influenced by it and who believe it?

The unpalatable truth is that what we end up with in this country is always swayed by about 4 million swing voters who have no clue
 be it Brexit or GE
simply swayed by what Right wing controlled MSM dictates
there is a truism in the fact ‘it was The Sun what won it’
(where democracy falls on it arse
the will of 90% with ideals fucked by 10% of morons)

I don’t think the BBC is shitting itself over revenue.

They’re about to get a windfall from the over 75’s and they’ve got a commercial arm which makes a lot of money on international distribution of BBC programmes.

It does tend to lean with whatever the government of the day wants.

You’re playing that down a bit. It has never been anywhere this bad with its open leanings.
Look through all the important people in their GB news output and it’s a long list of confirmed Tories.
This is how you destroy a public service, but it’ll play out like all others with the simple minded.

Hopefully not everyone has been sucked into the Brexit black hole. You know the one, where every other political discussion gets sucked in and amalgamated, subsumed, dominated. Where not even the ripped, pervasive devastation of 9 years of Tory mis-rule can haul itself over the 52% event horizon and be dealt with on its own horrific terms.
