Shame if Cherts has left: he brought a different political angle and perspective to the site, initiated quite a few interesting discussions and was a good laugh at times.

Considering the SWF history between Verbal and Pap, I was slightly surprised that the former signed up to Papsweb in the first place. I suppose it showed the measure of both men that they could put this behind them and make a fresh start ā¦ well, for a couple of months or so.
For me, one of the biggest downsides of Papās SWF banning is the end it brought to the wonderfully entertaining, informative and insightful Pap v Verbal debates - invariably brilliant stuff; and talk about cutting the atmosphere/tension/hostility/whatever between them with a knife!
I always suspected it would be problematic for them to maintain the same level of edgy intensity under the different vibe and dynamic of this site ā¦ at least, not without suppressing their passionate, combative and forthright debating styles, which wasnāt ever likely to happen!
