I see theyāve just broken the record for calculating pi. A computer has just worked it out to 62.4 trillion decimal places.
Makes you wonder why they couldnāt fathom the next decimal point if they got that far

You may laugh, but in pre-computer days, some guy spent his life working pi out to a record 707 places and died a happy man. It was only a few years after he died they found a mistake after 528 places, so he never held the record.
Iād have been more convinced if they said the result was 33.33 recurring.
