Coote Arms FC when I was a nipper. The right winger Ron, used to drink 5 pints, then drive to the game in his ancient roofless MG Midget, play a blinder.
When he didn’t drink he was dog shit.

My team was Testbourne FC, home ground Tachbury Mount, which was kind of apt.

Played a “friendly” there once, against their staff team. The game was abandoned before half time when one of theirs nutted the ref.
Turned out he was one of the inmates who’d been drafted in to make the numbers up.
