It took me some time to realise what this means. I forwarded it to a couple of unsavoury WhatsApp groups, and there was some discussion as to what the intended word might have been before I twigged that itâs not actually a typo. And Iâd never have realised at all if I hadnât done some work with the adult Mencap group in Portswood years ago, some of whom used Makaton. 
On another forum Iâm embroiled in a humongous argument.
Is grandad or granddad the correct spelling?
