I used to see Frank and his then girlfriend, who I believe he later married, at the Solent Stars basketball at Fleming Park, Eastleigh. He was staying at the Crest Hotel next door.
When we signed Mark Dennis later that season, they were at the bar with a couple of the Solent players and when Psycho went to the bog Frank was asked who this was. I overheard him reply “That’s Mark Dennis. He was with me at Birmingham. He’s a nasty lad.”
I spat my beer out.
