Really enjoying the new Diiv album, which came out today. This does cause a slight dilemma, as some of their members behaviour over the past couple of years does go against some personally held beliefs.
But damn does that dreamy, spaced out sound tick all my boxes.
As Bletch an I have previously discussed the original (Nine Inch Nails) and the cover (Johnny Cash), here’s an Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) live version, from 2008.
All Paddy’s output is pretty amazing. If you enjoyed that interview here’s a looong interview with Pete Paphides (1hr28mins) which covers everything. Well worth it as it reveals what an open generous person Paddy is (OK I admit I have a bit of a “man-crush”) but Pete Paphides is a big fan too so gets the best out of him: https://www.mixcloud.com/longplayer/long-player-with-pete-paphides-episode-5-paddy-mcaloon/
