šŸŽµ What are you listening to etc

Nah.
Caddyshack for the Preacher & Gofer
And vomiting into an open top Porsche

And one of the National Lampoon films was funny

Caddyshack was sort of okay. He lost me with the godawful adaptation of Fletch.

Now you mention it, I like to picture you as the Rodney Dangerfield character in the pro shop. ā€œGimme ten of those, gimme twenty of those, gimme a box of those naked lady tees… this club sucks, the only reason I’m here is because maybe I’ll buy it.ā€:smile:

I’ve always loved this record.

But I’m ashamed to admit that I had never realised until today it was a cover version. Our resident Joni Mitchell expert, @lifeintheslowlane , will be appalled at my ignorance, in my defence apparently Ms Mitchell has herself asserted that she now considers it a Nazareth song.

Well I grew up with the song…1971. I don’t think I’ve actually heard the Nazareth version, at least I can’t remember hearing it.

RIP Dan McCafferty and Manny Charlton

Amazingly my 1st concert was at Salisbury City Hall Barclay James Harvest which legend says Ericc was also at.

However, my second a few weeks later was Nazareth - epic song, great set and we thought Dan had finished the show when he took (another) swig from a bottle of whisky & fell backwards into the Drum Kit

They got it re-assembled & yeah GREAT song

After that Nazareth tracck
THIS came up

Greatest thing I ever let my kids talk me into - seeing them at Glasto

These for @scotty…

Scenes from Annie Hall fit well…

This is the one I was thinking of.

The Tom Waits one, I think I’ve only previously heard sung by Rod Stewart.

A friend of mine was very upset when Dan McCafferty passed away in 2022, he was a big friend of his and attended my friend’s wedding back in the '70s.

From their new album which is brilliant…this follows nobody…
