:pl: :westhamfc: West Ham United v Saints :saints: - Live on :sky_logo:

Id also like to point out that the dark side virtually got Ron to leave with their incessant “He leaves after 3 years and he’s not going to sign a new deal now” palaver. Best years the Ron years once we found our identity

Then we had Les “Sell our secrets to the tabloids” Reed. Fucking really want to headbutt him

In the end, every battle is each human’s ability to conquer the pressures in their heads. We are not a mentally strong club are we though? We have been fucked in this battle long before we were called to the field to fight it

Oh well, that’s us fucked then. Sport Republic haven’t been the positive force we hoped they would be.

It was a clean slate in the summer. New owners, a bit of optimism. Plus, given the importance of that key signing, they should have just made it too lucrative an offer for the selling club and player to ignore. You know, like all the other clubs do in order to get shit done.

The accumulated lack of investment under Gao and then the arrogance of our new owners who blew the ONE chance they had, is the reason we are here. Immediately doubling down on buying all these kids when we’ve been circling the drain for a couple of years and needed immediate reinforcements to improve the starting 11, was their biggest crime in my eyes.

I bet there are some stats out there that will show our ‘average’ team fielded is all players who were here last year. Goalkeeper aside, but he’s a kid (Another example of metric driven arrogance). Which is crazy when you think about it and the reason you SHOULD be signing £150m worth of footballers. They bought investments, not footballers.

But when we did sign a centre forward who could score goals, he was hardly ever played. Today, one lofted ball into the area, and he very nearly scored with his head.

Maybe you were watching a different game :man_shrugging:

Let’s face it. When even our resident serial optimist @OzSaintDave has finally cracked, and @PhilippineSaint has gone AWOL, I think we can safely accept that the game is up.

Championship here we come. Can we get Tella back please, he’s got a head start. If we can also keep Adam Armstrong and Che McAdams, we’ve got a seriously good strike force proven at that level. :+1::+1::+1::grin:

And Will Smallbone.

Good idea - he can fill in one of the gaps created when we start selling off those purchased this year!
Probably equally as good, if not better, just never given a chance by managers who said they believed in bringing on young players, but never did!
Even Obafemi now plays for Burnley!

MOTD completely ignored the interfering players for the VAR check. Just said they got the right decision.

The most sensible rule used to be any player moving towards the path of the ball was offside, but they fuck around with the rules so much I don’t know what the case is anymore.

When VAR was looking at it in the live coverage, my immediate thought was there’s an offside forward in Bazunus direct line of sight to the scorer.

The only thing more confusing than offside these days is handball. I genuinely don’t know what that is anymore.

still annoyed
We are more toothless than my old grannie - I even caught myself thinking that Nathan Redmond would be an improvement - that’s what Saints have reduced me to.

That’s exactly where I am … the player that scored was not offside but there were about 3 WH players that were offside and in Bazza’s face. Surely they were interfering in play even if they were just distracting the lino. Which (ironically) they were as he flagged …

I know it’s clutching at straws and all that but we really don’t get much luck in games do we. When your lucks down, your luck’s down.

Saw a smart comment on Twatter last week from a Saints fan “I’d rather go down to the Champo and have a fun season of winning some, losing some and enjoy watching the team than another season in the Prem flirting with relegation and feeling like this”

Think I predicted a Saints win - therefore we lost - quite obvious really.

Ah yes, 2-1 to :saints: is what you predicted :lou_facepalm_2:
