Have you ever paid for anything?

I want to keep my virginity, so I’m gonna watch on TV.

Brings back so many memories of my wedding night.

It’ll have healed up by now.

Right. Well we’ve both been allowed the time off from work, so now it’s working out flights plus the likelihood of actually getting tickets.

Flights are surprisingly reasonable ($1100 upwards each) but do I go the “cheap” end of the range and fly Brisbane - Hong Kong (7.5 hrs) then Hong Kong-London (14.5 hrs) for $1200 with Cathay Pacific, or spend the extra $300 and go with Emirates or Etihad which have nicer planes but 2 stops and 3 flights of 7.5 hrs?

That 14 hour flight is a real b*tch, but that would also give us an extra $600 towards tickets for Wembley. How gutted would I be if we forked out over $3k (still got to a hire a car but at least accommodation is free with family) and ended up watching it in a pub???

Decisions decisions…thoughts or opinions anyone??

@goatboy .

Nope.

HTH.

reality is I had zero chance of a ticket as all you uber fans rightly get 1st pick.

I just put the word out to about 100 sources less than Bazza that I wanted to go and boom. Like Smiler the decision on cost is more how to get to UK if I fly on Whizz Air low cost with no legroom it takes 30 hours I would be crippled but it costs ÂŁ400 less than a direct flight. Most agencies want ÂŁ300 ish for a ÂŁ40 ticket.

Now I just need to work out where you buggers will be so I can get free #doarunnerer

And yeah I have to at least get photos in a Spud shirt ffs

IF I had an alternate way I would. But this let’s me plan my flight

Well I did manage to find an even cheaper flight (brisbane-sydney-manchester-norwich!) with Qatar Air/Flybe for less than $800 return, but I valued my time and sanity a little more than the $500 saving each and ended up booking with Etihad (brisbane-heathrow) for just over $1300 each and total flight time of less than a full day. Well that’s the easy part out of the way…so who can lay their hands on 2 spare tickets for me then?

EVERY season ticket holder will get a ticket. I worked that out on my own, by doing the maths. I’m good at this!

So are we wearing black? Nice colourful day out that is going to be!

Hey Lou, this is the 2010s, that sort of thing doesn’t happen in football stadia any more.

Might be appropriate if our last cup game was anything to go by

Hope you’re sitting down. From my sources

Club Wembley memberships sell their “unused” tickets to Wembley who then add 15% handling.

Those can then be bought by other Club Members. My guys have the following 3 together and 4 together at ÂŁ425 +VAT EACH. They have 1 pair at ÂŁ450 + VAT EACH all at Saints end. Pay by credit card. They do not expect to get any other regulars for Saints end may get some of the not given to clubs but will not know. Web sites are pot luck but you pay by card & get refund if it goes wrong.

Lot of them are good you should be able to Google reviews.

Seems a lot of money bro! Why not just give me say $2k, and I’ll watch it for you? Save you a solid $1k srs.

Faaaark…that’s steep! :frowning:

That’s about $1750 Australian for the 2, which is more than one of our airfares!

If I was offered that the day before the game I’d probably go for it, but I’m hoping to find something a little more reasonable.

Under $1k would be nice!

Was feeling smug about qulaifying for the first tranche of tickets, then got to work got distracted and promptly forgot about it :lou_facepalm_2:

Now stuck in an hour long queue

Je suis un massive twat
