I hope ted is ok. I hope he hasn’t done something silly. If Jack said i was a worthless piece of shit, or whatever it was, i think i would find it v.hard to carry on with life, you know? Like, what’s the point? I hope some of the subsequent messages of support catch him in time, before he is competely consumed by the black abyss of despair, but it’s probably already too late. I’ll start a RIP thread just to be on safe side.

No problem Pap. That is simply my misunderstanding then. From various things I’d read, I’d picked up the (erroneous) impression that the “Beef” thread was the place any personal stuff was supposed to end up. I’m sure I’ve seen comments alluding to things being ‘moved to the beef thread’ before – and (obviously wrongly) concluded that this is what happens to posts when they go off topic and personal. My mistake.

It was not a ‘temerity’ – but rather, as noted above – simply my misunderstanding of where such off topic stuff was meant to go. I wrongly thought that it was the ‘norm’ for such things to be moved there. My mistake.

From my persepctive Bucks, it was not an ‘attack’ – but rather a defence. I was responding to what I considered a disrespectful post. I also concede however, that I too was disrespectful in my response.
The most surprising thing for me, was that it turned out that I was not actually voicing what most others we’re likely thinking themselves That, and the colourful array of avatars lining up (that represent a lot of people I have come to respect), voting in support of the notion that I have misjudged Ted’s posts and over-stepped a line as a result, does however convince me that I must be missing some subtleties somewhere along the line, and that there must be a lot more to Ted’s contributions than I’ve been aware of over time. I can only go on what my eyes show me, and my mind interprets, but for the amount of you guys that I respect to say I am wrong, then I can only conclude that I must be.
In light of that I read and re-read my initial reply to Ted again.
I am not the sort of person to tear people down, certainly at least not unless I feel very strongly that I am justified in doing so. I would hope my previous posts here up to now would testify to that. I still do feel that I was justified in responding to what I felt was a disrespectful post to me – yet having read my posts again, I accept that I was needlessly harsh in places, and being a cunt in others. I am sorry for that Ted. Not that I’d particularly expect you to care, but I was out of line to be so scathing in my defence, and I do apologise to you for that; and also to those of you who took offence at the things I have said.
I shall leave any previous grievances there, and mention it no more.
Now, back to Victor being a cunt…

He had a reasonable game today…still a few careless mis-directed passes but generally he bossed his part of the pitch against very poor opponents. Took the goal well.
