I think its just about folks accepting a set process to deal with the subjective eg.
To overturn a ref decision the VAR team of say 4 have to ALL agree - one decenting voice and it stay with on the field decision - becaus if its not obvious enough to all…etc
Also the VAR team should NOT include explayers as these tend to have very strond opinions of how the game shoudl be played as oppoosed to the rules that givern it - they should be a mix of ex and curret refs - as thius will also help in teh development of those currently still in game.
The biggest problem was the idiot making the VAR calls. Mike Jones can’t be trusted to sit the right way on a bog seat.
Let the ex-refs (except Jeff Winter) man the VAR, as they won’t have the worry about upsetting their colleagues. Most of them do it through newspaper articles already.
Teams will win a few and lose a few decisions - it’s not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things - at least there’s an opportunity for a second decision - rather than regular moaning about refs getting it wrong…I reserve my right to say VAR is bollocks when things clearly are not right and decisions go against us…
