Its not about questioning big pharma, its about ensuring trust in the system that evaluates the scientific evidence. The problem is that too many non-scientists dont understand the scientific research process, nor how risk benefit ratios being unique to each disease determine the level of approval and any restrictions on specific uses or in different populations
Too many folks jump on internet shite because Pharma is big business and has a history of making both fuck ups and hiding data… BUT the fact they have been found out is precisely why I trust the process… because the checks and balances and scrutiny means the truth always comes out.
The problem with idiots like Trump and The twat Kennedy, is that they are using these things to try and undermine trust in the process - like the rest of their approach, its just about creating problems that dont exist, undermining public confidence etc so they can then be seen as the solution providers… bery dangerous as more measles and mumps are on a surge and can kill babies.

True, but the brands came first… brand value continues post Loss of Exclusivity and generic launch… and some folks still feel its right for them… paying £4 for 8 Nurofen versus 50p for 24 generic Ibuprofen. Its why some folks want a VW as opposed to same platformed Skoda or SEAT…. daft but, that is not exploiting the public, as there are cheaper alternatives should they wish to buy them
