I think most people have seen the plea from the Bishop of Washington.

His approach to the Russia Ukraine situation is interesting
He is pressuring Opec to cut oil prices presumably to put Russia under sufficient pressure so that they are more likely to come to the table and be reasonable - I suspect part of his tariff threats to China will have a similar goal - stop buying cheap oil from them

Undocumentd workers form a very significant part of the US agriculture workforce. He risks causing a food shortage crisis by removing htem.
If a US farm producer starts squinnying about the lack of undocumented labour, then I suspect they will be told to STFU and start paying taxes on documented labour

They may well be told that, but this overlooks the problem that there is not a pool of documented labour who will take the jobs, even at higher wages which would inevitably result in significant price increases.

Same problem over here, everyone moans about the “immigrants stealing their jobs” but when the jobs are freed up no-one wants to do them.

We have issues with Nationals taking ex-pats positions offshore because they do not have the qualifications. But the locals cannot get get the international qualifications that the Ex-pats have due to Government interference. We are at an impass.
