The social networks have traditionally been protected by the US govt, particularly when they are threatened with taxes from Europe.
Now a war of sorts has broken out - but how far can and will the networks go?
Would they dare use their influence and reach to oust Trump at the next election?
Even if they do, any successor to Trump is not going to be happy with having to look over their shoulders so make sure they haven’t upset Twitter / Facebook etc for their term.
The minute they push an agenda they become editors and potential liable for content

Following the on air arrest of one reporter, we now have police firing “pepper bullets” at a TV crew live in TV. They’ve lost their minds.
There is some seriously strange shit going on over there. The guy filmed smashing the store windows before the looting started has been identified by his ex wife as a policeman from the St Pauls police department. St Pauls police department have denied it. Hmm!

Some of the scenes of police brutality are astonishing. Police car driven into a crowd, army firing paintball at people stood in their doorways in quiet residential streets, endless press attacks including blinding one reporter in her left eye… The list is endless. It’s really depressing.
I can’t help but feel if things in the states progress any further we could see the start of state level ‘civil wars’, especially if there are any more fatalities at the hands of the police or national guard.
