Third test England V West Indies at Lords

119-6 repair work by out of sorts Bairstow to hang in there before falling LBW.

Stokes looking on a different level

nything around 150 and get WIndies back in today would be good with better forecast to morrow

Stokes bowled - reviewed - No Ball.

2 Balls later - Bowled - Gabriel shocks the world by NOT bowling a no ball…

150 looking a tough ask tbh

Only 16 runs short but, you’re right, it’ll be a tough ask.

It’s now 158/8. Even a small lead is likely to be significant in such a low-scoring match, and the further we can push this the better. It looks almost certain that West Indies will be batting again before the day is over.

One dropped sitter by the keeper, lots of playing and missing but TRJ and Broad somehow nurdling runs.

The issue is the sun is now coming out so it should get easier to bat. What s the forecast for the rest of the afternoon?

Broad wallops a few boundaries and the lead goes past 50. Useful little innings - 182/9 now.

Tea being taken after England are bowled out for 194, a lead of 71. How likely did that look an hour or so ago? With 39 to be bowled after tea (I think), that’s a good opportunity for England’s bowlers to do some damage. Seems like the ball’s been talking all day…

Take a bow Jimmy 500 test wickets is pretty amazing

Chase gone in the first over, and it’s 94/4. Got the feeling Jmmy could run straight through them this morning, as he’s clearly getting some movement.
