Why I Will not cast my electoral vote for Donald Trump
I didnât realise he still had to be âratifiedâ as it were, calling Redslo to the US Presidential Race thread.

I think it is meant to be a formality, but real none the less - Interestering that 500 odd people could ignore the will of the people and choose a different course.
I could never imagine that happening in the UK
CoughâŚBrexitâŚCough
Does that mean that they still could put Hilary in?
They would be mad to do that, Donalds supporters would go beserk and they have more guns.
I liked it when he appointed someone called Mad Dog as his Minister of War. Blatant trolling srs

Get what you mean, but âwill of the peopleâ is an interesting phrase.
Hillary is on course to recieve 2.5m+ more votes than Trump.
In fact, despite winning 3 elections since the turn of the century, the Republicans have only won the vote once (2004).
Democracy indeed.
Iâve seen conflicting reports.
One of the most interesting claims Iâve heard is that there was a large discrepancy between exit polls and what actually ended up happening. Now some might claim theyâre Timid Trump voters, but the experts disagree. While that phenomenon certainly exists pre-poll, people are much more likely to tell you the truth post-event, and if they donât want to answer, theyâll walk right past.
Jill Stein has got millions behind her recount campaign.
Had seen that, doubt it will change much.
According to CNN (most other places seem to show similar numbers), the current difference is 2,624,262 - I think that is likely to change anyway, as not all votes are in yet (please correct me if that is wrong).
Guess Drumpf was right all along, the election is rigged. It always was, the electoral college puts a lot more value in votes of smaller states - which are generally rural, white & Republican.
Simlarly, the senate returned a GOP majority, despite receiving 6m(ish) less votes.
Good point
However that chap in New york from the articale should be voting in line with how his state declared - he is going against the peoples will in that state which again is not democratic.
The voting is bad but not as bad as our system that wil only ever allow Labour and the tories to win, I vote Labour but can see its a abject voting model that is not fit for purpose.
Christ alive, mark the date!
Baz and I are in agreement on something!
The strange thing is many wouldnât like democratic elections as UKIP and fringe populist parties would get a slice of the pie and we would actually be a democratic Country again having to form working coalitions, heaven forbid.
Views on âPizza-gateâ anyone?
Pizzagate should never have been a thing. Itâs now been disavowed even by the cunts who put it out there. Itâs somehow frightening, like 1984 come to life

Links?
By far the most sinister thing about the epidemic of fake news and conspiracy theories is the fact that with the speed at which information is exchanged, as well as the hyper-egalitarian nature of the internet, the only way to combat it is through censorship and massively powerful corporations like Google doctoring what they consider to be the ânewsâ.
For me, thatâs a far more dangerous scenario than the odd load of cobblers slipping through the net.
