šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø šŸ’£ The US Presidential Race

Oh sweetheart, you are ever so predictable. Didn’t have to namecheck you, and you coming swooping in to defend the man you don’t agree with and don’t support.

Exactly the same as with every other right wing racist you feel the need to support.

Should you not be finding another article to get all offended over? There might be a school following standard procedure somewhere. Can’t have that.

I’m not defined by a religion so my supposed God can go and get to fuck, getting offended by say a cartoon says how childish and stupid some of these people are.
I want the right to be offended to remain, you want it abolished by the sound of it, I think that makes you the fascist my lover.

Well, you sure do love being offended.

That’s your opinion but I’m not offended, I simply couldn’t give a shite.

There are some interesting results from Dearborn, the US’s most Arab-American city. Around 41% of the city claim Arab ancestry.

They voted for Trump, who wants to keep Muslims out (until we figure something out) and Sanders, the Jewish lad from Vermont.

Maybe it says someting about your and your friends widespread poltical ā€œknowledgeā€ is incorrect? Typecasting and saying all the ā€œblack voteā€ (I absolutely hate that term) will vote democrat or 2nd generation Koreans will be republican is naive and bollocks etc etc (The ignorant left will take for granted the new population), where is Cruz from? He family is from all over the shop and he is very right wing, the most wing in this and possibly ever is Sanders and he is still middle of the road here Ken Clarke ish or Frank Field.

People like Trump as he says it like it is and strangely the people you think would not like him are voting for him in their droves, its refreshing, many Mexicans like him but the white weeping liberals have to arrogantly come to their defence as they don’t understand, the pinkos are the wronguns here and its showing over there and in the EU debate here, they are the fascists.

A basic example I’ll give you is in Australia the last republican vote in 1999 its a widely held view that the Vietnamese and Chinese kept the Union Flag on Australias as they wouldn’t do anything to seem to upset the applecart, the 2nd generation coming through now may be more republican who knows?

There are right leanig people from all over the planet, its not a white thing its a human thing, I refer yuo to Winston Peters as well, one very shall I say interesting gentleman.

I’m not surprised by either result. I just thought they were interesting, precisely for the reason you mention. You weren’t around on TSW when the European Elections were being voted on. I made a big thing of the fact that most of my Labour leaning immigrant stock family voted for UKIP. I’ve also had conversations with my grandad where he’s made his feelings quite clear on new immigrants. I don’t believe for a second that you have to be indigenous to develop these sort of attitudes. From his perspective, he put his working life into this country, he’s used to it, and is just as partial about certain groups as your 50 year old racist.

If you’ve perused some of the earlier posts in this thread, you’ll have noticed that I posted a link from Forward, a publication focusing on the Jewish experience in America, stating that Sanders must be outed as a Jew for ā€œhis own goodā€. Both KRG and I were baffled on why the author of the piece felt it such an issue. Dearborn shows us that people are voting for his ideas over his ethnic or religious heritage. Rightfully bloody so, in my opinion.

Obama wasn’t a bad President. I think he is probably one of the best that the US has had since Roosevelt, but he failed on his major tasks, such as closing Guantanamo, or truly grasping the nettle on issues of inequality. In Sanders, I see a real firebrand, utterly appalled by the state of the Union. I think the only relevant thing about his heritage is that it could put him in a strong position to act on Palestine and curtail some of the excesses of the Israeli lobby.

If you go though many of my posts of years gone by you’ll see I say Obama is a good man but an impotent president, he has failed in almost everything he said he would do, he had no control in the house and nor from the military which is where a lot of power lies, Sanders being Jewish is no matter to me as is Obamas ā€œwhiteā€ upbringing, its the policies they deliver on.

Obama failed, America like many Nations is simply not mature enough to tackle gun law similar to Arab Nations tackling religion and womens rights. They are behind us and thats a fact.

I’m not sure that demographics are the key in people voting for Trump & Sanders, it’s more likely than they’re getting votes as they’re seen as ā€œanti-establishmentā€ figures. I think their support speaks more for the general feeling towards politics and politicians rather than specifics about their character as they’re both very populist figures on either end of the scale.

People have had enough of politicians, I depsise most of them or as close as you can get to it, bottom feeders who sell promise but deliver fuck all, its coming home to roost and as I say the EU thing is exactly that, why trust a politcian saying the virtues of it when they have consistently lied to you for the last 22 years (me), if they want something its for their benefit and not for yours and do the opposite to what the bastards want, why be their ticket to monetary freedom and an early retirement?

The pinkos and EU lovers all want the same thing, Britain fucked.

Top marks on spinning the topic round to the EU Baz, do you get paid by the mention or something?

Agree about ā€œpoliticiansā€ though - although i’d much prefer Clinton in office than any of the Republicans, she still comes across as a total sleazeball that’s never held a firm position on anything, which is exactly what I hate about politicians. Sanders at least has his impressive record to fall back on when questioned but Clinton changes her tact depending on what the polls say, so she’s tied herself up in knots on a lot of issues.

Clinton can not be trusted as long as the private email episode is open, Sanders is an idealist and a noble one at that, the Yanks aren’t ready for a European social justice politician, they’ll go for the Clinton option which is further right than Cameron!

Lovely stuff.

The YouTube sidebar showed a shitload of other Kids React To vids, so yes, it appears as if they have a very good setup. Not quite sure if it’s on a par with the BBC.

The Hispanic kid was a Trump fan though.

I simply do not understand how this is good, its politcally immature, I dont like what someone says so I’ll shut down the discussion, its always the extreme fascist left doing it as well, the irony of them childishly shutting down debate and freedom of speech no matter how bad is not lost upon me, counter Trumps points with fact and relevance.

Sanders and the left have not won here and neither has Trump, free speech has certainly lost.

I’m not sure that everyone who disagrees with labelling Mexicans as rapists or banning Muslims can be classed as the left.

Normal might be a more accurate name for this group.

That as may be but that has nothing to do with shutting down debate does it?

So, how does some of the comments from your favourite ā€˜ledge’, The Don tally up with this?

His rhetoric is all about shutting down debate, particualrly anyone that dares protest with him.

Article here, outlining a lot of what I said above about the divisive, and inflammatory nature of Trump. It was of course dismissed by our resident brainbox, and defender of all mouth breathing racist reactionaries. Guess, someone has to do it though, eh?

http://www.ifyouonlynews.com/politics/watch-rachel-maddow-may-have-just-cost-trump-the-election-with-this-brilliant-report-video/

Not only does Trump not want protests heard, he wants protestors beaten to a pulp. Make no mistake, the people he is referring to are black folk.

I don’t care how populist he is, or how well he is doing in the primary. He is running a disgusting, vile, racist campaign. To simply ignore that, or refuse to acknowledge the parrallels to what is happening in the world now to what happened in the build up to some of the worlds greatest humanitarian tragedies is daft.

I’ve already been called dramatic in this thread, but I don’t think it is at all and I’m clearly not the only one. Economic crash, populist rhetoric, ā€˜othering’ of minority groups and placing blame at their door for societal issues. It’s all lining up.
