Thereās no candidate Iām overly sold on. Closest would probably be Sanders, but still think he has massive issues.
My big problem with Sanders is that he seems somewhat blinkered. To him, it seems, all injustice is economic.
So, whilst many will laud his stances on a lot of issues, which are certainly admirable and a refreshing change - it leaves a lopsided approach to change. Particularly in America, where there is a lot more moving parts than just economic injustice leading to disparity in peopleās living standards.
Seriously glad I am not a citizen of America at the minute. Not to say that there arenāt good people there, of course, but I fear for the short to mid-term furutre of society there. Divisions along race/nationality lines are probably at the worst they have been since the civil rights movement.
I can only see things getting worse in the immediate future. Demagogues like Trump are only going to stir this up (Hey, he is the choice of both Stormfront, 4chan & the KKK), and I donāt have huge faith in Clinton or even Sanders to be able to heal those wounds.
I look at the States and find it baffling that a nation almost entirely compromised of immigrants can be so isolationist and inherently xenophobic. That a nation founded on the back of escape from persecution can have racism so deeply engrained and entrenched into society. Itās bizarre, depressing and terrifying that this is one of the worldās āsuperpowersā.
Thereās no great outcome, it really is a case of best of a bad bunch.
I think theyād do better to stick with the Obama bro, he seems like a good egg. I know they canāt tho, for Reasons. Itās a shame. Trump Man will Win by Landslide.
I am one of those who thought it was funny when Trump started out. I also thought that he would be a 5 minute wonder and that we would be down to the serious contenders now. How wrong can you be?
Poland is the same or worse, many others Nations are going to the right, Obama is to the right of Cameron, deeply conservative Nation, we cant get it as we arenāt American, they obviously do. A Nation rightly or wrongly looking after its own Nation, whatever next?
