Spent the day at the Berlin WTA open in hot, bright weather. My app told me to get out and I made it back to my local hostelery 5 mins before a biblical storm broke. It was 1-1.
No TV so ended up watching Andy Murray win on my phone. Suddenley the thunder and lightning was replaced by real gunfire. “Aah” said the guy at the next table, “Turkey have scored”.

I’m now supporting Serbia. 
The Czechs are getting themselves into so much trouble by doggedly trying to receive and hold possession in their back third. They don’t have the technical ability to maintain that, and most of Portugal’s real chances are stemming directly from it.
