I reckon we might see a different photo from the official sources. As someone that used to have to cut around people for our memes, I recognise some of the mistakes.
I looks to me as if someone has pulled a photo with a black background, and has done a reasonable job of shaving the edges off. Maybe it’s just the lighting, but he looks to have hair growing on the top of his ear.
That doesn’t mean it has not come from the club, of course, but has someone that has made my own image editing compromises, this shot looks like a composite.
If you follow the link to the Twitter post you’ll find that someone has posted the picture used as the basis for the altered image*. Forget the shadow, forget the background, just have a look at the hands:
