Is there anyway The Optimus Trousers thread can be “auto-edited” to delete earlier posts. It so fuckin’ unweildy it now takes 5 minutes to load on my fast internet connection. It’s much quicker to go to the “Newsnow” website.
I think I notice a bigger button for Sotonians at top of page.
Or am I shrinking?

The search facility isn’t user-friendly so the need to keep posts beyond a couple of weeks is a bit pointless IMO.
Phil, when you were complaining about the homepage link over on the ‘new button’ thread the other day, I posted back telling you about this, in an effort to help. You replied with a smartarse comment, without it seems, even checking it out. Now maybe it was intended as humour but having been on the receiving end of similarly flippant remarks from yourself in the past, I doubt it … but hey ho, I’m new and you seem to be respected on here so I’m not going to get my knickers in a twist about a comment
The thing is, assuming Pap hasn’t changed it since sunday (it seems exactly the same to me on my phone), it looks like I was right, as you’ve now found out … which is good and if it makes Papsweb more functional on your mobile, happy days.
What does seem strange tho’, is that you chose to come to this thread to hail your new discovery, rather than return to the original one, to post. Maybe I’m naive to think I’d get a ‘see what you mean Steve’ or a ‘cheers for that’ or something but it’s what I’d have done in a similar situation.
I keep reading your posts in a yorkshire accent

I saw too much of that crap on the other side. I really do read the posts and not the “man”.
Next up actually yes there IS a difference on my phone.
BUT I think that may be down to the Android OS Upgrade that downloaded earlier this week. All the text now seems about 5% larger and I am losing some visiblity of stuff on other apps
When I posted I couldn’t get that button it always clicked back to the web page. Now it is fine. Obviously Pap wasn’t listening, but in their quest for Global disaster, Samsung obviously listened and did it so someone else could be offended/upset by them

Glad your phones sorted now. TBH I hate posting on mobile phones myself, they’re not designed for adult fingers. What you gain from the convenience is lost by everything taking twice as long to accomplish.
All’s good anyway mate, we march on.
Nothing yorkshire about me SB but it’s easily done, filling in the blanks and forming a picture in your head about someone you only know from posts.

Why has my sotonians icon disappeared? The one I use to load the site from. It is now like a bloated speech bubble.
