Hardly a surprise is it?

The more successful we are or the better players we have the more they’ll leave, a statement of intent would be to pay him the money, we have small ambition, he’s gone.

And you can’t blame him, show ambition and aspiration, if you don’t you can’t whinge when the players fuck off.

He’ll go to Arsenal or Leicester.

They are offering to make him the club’s highest ever earner, what more money do you want?

Well quite frankly more, he obviously doesn’t think its enough, money talks, also he’d quite rightly want to know who else is staying and coming in, if he is not happy you can’t blame him.

Its a reality we face, we get punished for the more we advance.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s already been tapped.

If he ends up at Tottenham I will not be best pleased.

Money doesn’t talk - they have agreed terms. It’s about champions league football he wants.

So on the back of a whopping great loss, and one no doubt to follow next year, we should be splashing the cash to chase the top?

No but the owner should tell us his goals and aspirations for the club.

Do you know what they are?

Money talks, football more than anything.

Not in this situation - he is happy with the money on offer

That record still spins as its relevant.

You believe that, he has an easy out by saying he wants the Champions League opportunity, lets see who he goes to and how much he’ll be on with bonuses.

Money talks and that is all there is to it.

Barry needed a reason to celebrate tonight, but Saints youth team won, so that leaves this

No just keeping it real, his last chance at the big time and he is a good player, too good for us if we don’t pay the wages or show the intent.

That is our level, the same as 2015, the glass ceiling is there whether it bangs your head or not, we just want to remain, that should be our motto, not some glorious latin intent of noble deed and effort.

Or something like that.

From the BBC Gossip pages

Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a summer move for Southampton and England forward Danny Ings, 28. (Eurosport)

Ings wants to return to a Champions League club and is holding off on a new deal with the Saints. (Telegraph - subscription required)

If he wants a Champions League club why go to Tottenham??

Classic.

I’ll lose a lot of respect for him if he goes there because he will play second fiddle to Kane as the number 9. Mourinho doesn’t play with two up top. Then there’s Son.

Money, why go and play champions league football? What the fuck is that shit about? They won’t win it, only United, City and Liverpool can win it long term possibly Chelsea, he’s going for the coin, trophies my arse, how many trophies have Spurs won lately?

This furthering career bollocks only holds water if you actually go to a club that wins trophies and there are only 3/4 in the Country that win them frequently, load of shit.
