Southampton captain Jack Stephens has been charged with misconduct by the FA following his red card in Saturdayās 3-0 home defeat to Manchester United.
Stephens is alleged to have used abusive and/or insulting words toward referee Stuart Atwell and fourth official Gavin Ward after he was dismissed for a tackle on Alejandro Garnacho in the 79th minute.
Southampton have until Thursday, 19 September to respond to the charge.

Mind you Garnacho made a bit of a meal of it (was a red though)
And Brereton-Diaz made a right meal of the headbutt 
And captaincy withdrawn. Shocking example to the young players. Shocking tackle in the first place and to not just take your medicine like a man (and captain) is unforgivable IMHO
