How do they decide they lineups?
Is it like the pool league I play in where the home Captain picks a name then the away captain picks who’s going to play then?

Neither know who is in which position.
The art to it depends on the state of the match. Where your best or in form players go where do you hide scared Rookies?
Bradley has top loaded his to try and build momentum- he can only lose 2 matches - and then he has to hope Europe crumble so Burns, English, Morikawa etc can ride the wave.
Luke has done a Rome. He’s got 4 hopeful bankers up top but has stuck some experience in the tail.
In Rome, we all expected the 1st 6 to finish it off early. The European Tour went nah. We need a serious Marshal out at the back end because this could go down to the wire. Luke sent Shane, Tommy & Bobby out at the back end. Tour put me in the middle - radio’d up so I could move when needed as they said. I was just pissed off.
I was heartbroken. I was sure I was going to miss all the fun. Despite the big boss saying they were sending me because I was the best of the best etc
And so of course, when the shit went down and Tommy won the point to win the match, I was there standing on the green waving my Lanyard to keep players & celebs safe (armed Police are needed over there) and let the press get their photos - 3 of us from Media Team and 4 Player Care walkiing marshals vs 6,000 people, 12 players, 50+ WAGS/Parents, and celebs including Carlos Sainz, Bale, Djorkovic, Jordan, Wahlberg & Timberlake.
So yeah, there is a lot of Art and brain power goes into it, and with Edoardo Molinari on Luke’s team - a lot of stats.
