Meh, don’t really care. We go into the season as complete underdogs and that was always going to be the case. Just hoping the lads put in 38 good shifts and upset a few cunts along the way. Biggest problem will be our wanky fanbase calling for the manager to be sacked after a few losses. He needs the whole season to get experience that will be very useful later on - he’s young and still learning his craft. We went up largely to do with the manager and I’m hoping against hope that the fanbase don’t go overboard with the criticism. The social media meltdowns when we get beaten to the signing of some average looking foreigner because he had a reasonable half of last season is embarrassing and points to them pissing their pants when we start conceding goals against some of the best strikers in the world and reality isn’t like playing FIFA. Looking forward to the season and the odd game where we do get a spawny last minute winner against the odds.

There is an honesty about the EFL which I think i will miss. The PL is now a procession anyway and the obsequiousness and saturation coverage of the English sporting media to the big 6 or 7 is tiresome and pisses me off. Hopefully matchdays at SMS will be good fun, but it will be more testing to enjoy this season as much as last season. Can see me getting narky with wankers who boo at half time because we’re 3 down against a top team in Europe.
Oh well, bring on more Sunday games, last place on MOTD highlights and shitty TV pundits who know fuck all about us.

And there’s a reason for that.
So many people have already expressed the opinion that our players simply don’t have the ability to play out and through a PL side like we were doing in the Champ last season, it’ll be interesting to see if RM persists doggedly with the plan if this proves to be the case. I’m hoping he’ll be a bit pragmatic, but I fear he won’t be.

One thing he won’t do is compromise on the playing style, but he learned late last season to adjust the formation. That meant we had Leeds’ number in the last league game and the final. I have faith. I can’t understand why our players are being written off already? Seems like complete fuckwittery before a ball is kicked.
