Tell you what lads. After nigh on eight years without a drink, I can honestly say that the fumes from this bar on a ship this morning damn near knocked me out. I could smell the booze from twenty yards, on my way through to one of the piano bars.
Walked in one end sober, and staggered out dazed at the other. Fucking hell.

Quite possibly, unless someone had managed to drop a case of bottles. It was like walking through a fog of alcoholic low cloud cover. I’m not exaggerating, I genuinely felt drunk after walking through there. If I’d hung around to investigate further I’d have had to be carried off the ship.
I feel the same every time I smell Scotch.
