Beavertownās core range does indeed piss all over Brewpuppyās. Smog Rocket and Holy Cowbell in particular. Shame they donāt make as many imperial stouts.
Also if you like Bloody 'Ell, fill your boots before it sells out everywhere. No cans left down here as itās a seasonal brew.
Beavertown was started by Robert Plantās son Logan (and no, he didnāt have any help from daddy), which is kinda neat.
I was at a surprise party last night for ms papās twin aunties, both turning 60. Much effort was made, including flights from Dubai, DJs, food, balloons, banners and suchlike.
It was at a cricket club, so I ducked out of the setup to (ahem) ālook for guestsā. Caught a bit of the cricket, which seemed largely to consist of the fielding team trying to claim LBW on every fucking ball. It worked though, the bastards.
Had a few beers, nowt much in the way of quality, but enough to make me feel like Iād had enough by half eleven. Got a taxi home, went to bed. God, Iām getting old.
Giving the Bombay Sapphire/Fever Tree Tonic combo a going over this evening.

I have some beers for tonight. They shall be consumed, but not to an extent where I am overly inebriated. It has been a pretty good week. Most on here know what a stubborn fucker I am. I tend to do what Iām told a bit more at work (doing what youāre told is good for keeping jobs, Iāve found) but my heckles are raised when someone abuses the word āimpossibleā.
Been working on some code to shuttle things seamlessly in and out of various environments. It aināt easy in our place. Without going into too much detail, we have a lot of them. There are a lot of different techs involved in the solution.
Thereās one bit that I was told had to stay static, because āthatās the way it worksā. Iām not an expert at the tech (SSIS, geeks) but I look into it, and itās essentially text files. There are about nine things that we had to actually change in each set of files to do everything we need. āEr, how about we just create templates and fill it with whatever shit we need?ā, I ask.
Anyways, finished that. Works like a fucking champ and super happy with it. It wasnāt a technically hard thing - just no-one else in the org has the idea, probs 'cos theyāre all using visual designers and Iām the sort of twat who likes a rummage in a text file.
The devil is in the details, the code is in the repository and the first fucking beer I drink tonight is going to go down like an Ewok in a stormtroopers only bar.
