The Leicester City away Thread

Wouldn’t surprise me to see us and Leicester running each other neck and neck as the season unfolds.

I’ve got a feeling that come next spring, along with Everton, they’ll be our ‘competition’, in the mini league that devolopes in the race for europa slots. By then, the two home points we deprived them of today could be invaluable.

They’ve had some very damaging results so far but have done well to keep the majority of their excellent team together from last year, whereas we haven’t quite hit our stride yet but have been playing well. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out over the course of the 38 games (only 31 left to go!) but I can see us and Everton clamouring for the 6th-8th places. What may affect all that is the resurgence of Chelsea back up the league again - with Top 4 their aim and no Europe they’ll probably end up pushing a few teams back down into direct competition with us. Should be a very competitive year!

Not me I only commented on it

VVD was dead on his feet, hence some poor passes. It was scorching up here. I think FF was still pissed ftom last weeks piss.Awful kicking and not coming for the ball. He was luvky Sash shirt kept him a clean sheet. Awesome day out. Met some class mushrs and drank a shitload of beer. On final leg of trip home. I need some sleep.

EoA wins the 'Lucky Garment of the Month’ award

A stunning endorsement of … 1) Erics replica shirt, non rotation policy … and … 2) his skillful deployment of the XXL diagonal stripe formation

congrats eric

The genius also ensured his sons wedding is on an International Break so he had no conflict of wearing it under his suit

I would also like a note taken of the influence of my lucky stripey bowl and porridge combo on the morning of the game.

Likewise my 4 cans of lucky lager while watching the match online - exactly 2 in the first half and 2 in the second. No more or no less…

Good idea mate. Get a strong start and catch the the rest of the pack napping so they’ll be playing catch up in the race for next months ‘Lucky Lager of the Month’ award.

… and for Bletch and you other musty’s out there, real ales don’t qualify !!

… which I suspect, only leaves me, Cob, Cherts and a couple of others in the running.

Despite recovering from the mother of all hangovers on Sunday (mostly lager), I managed to squeeze a Moretti in while watching the second half, so we played a collective blinder I think

That counts … you’re in

It’s a question that pops up from time to time.

Not at all - never really saw the point in declaring a game in mid August a ‘must win’ with a new team new manager and a new formation. The fact lots of our fans did says more about their expectations.

Anyone know when Bouffal is likley to appear ?

… and can Pap shed some lighht on what the hell that image is and why its on his hard drive? Looks like a young David Hasslehoff, anda torn apart burger. May be an adolescent Ronald McDonalds first confusing / arousing damp dream

I thought it was Patrick Swayze myself

Thought it was a burger but you may be right
