The January 2018 Transfer window:- speculation, rumours, dummy spitting, it's all here

OUR James Beattie of course. Not that cunt who went to Everton.

The one who scored loads of goals by bundling the ball over the line.

Just got a feeling Carrillo is going to score some very shit, yet very important goals for us.

Just what we have been lacking…a shit goal scorer.

Ouch.

Harsh but fair.

The table doesn’t lie.

Yeah but the best sides in The Premier League don’t want him…that’s why he’s still playing in Siberia. :lou_eyes_to_sky:

After watching Carrillo on the video posted on here there is no doubt that he is a good header of the ball.I can see Prowsie getting a lot of assists with this player as he has the ability to put the ball in the right area.

I suspect he’s basically going to be MP’s mole - bigging up the manager to the players, listening out for dissenting voices in the dressing room, HE’S A SNITCH!

PMSL … a case of mistaken identity, of course. It was a slight on Brother Baz !

It does beg the question where Gabby Dean fits in now. I can still see Schlong doing his “off the bench” role and clearly there’s a need for Gabby until Charlie gets back but after that … I guess it boils down to how fit Charlie gets, how quickly and how much the yoof like Obi Wan want it ? It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Gabby released in the summer ?

I for one would love to see Gabby play in a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 (like we have done recently) up alongside a big bloke. His movement is great and with a couple of goals for confidence we know how good he is.

It is all well and good playing Hoj Poj as a number 10 against Spurs but when we are playing lesser opposition and need to win games, I think we need to get more goalscorers on to the pitch at the same time.

Gabby has fed off scraps this season. His goal against Wham was one of the very rare occasions where Redmond played a positive role and gave him an early through ball to run on to. Look at the goal he scored against Newcastle… he had it all to do himself and had the ball at his feet for approximately 8 minutes before he eventually put the ball in the back of the net. The other was a penalty in the same game.

I guess he struggles fitting in, much like he did at Napoli. He is not that big and not that quick to play up on his own. he is more well rounded but would probably be more effective playing alongside somebody else.

Maybe this transfer is just appeasement for the #twoupfront brigade!!

Umm, can you wind in the sensible football chat a bit? At least disperse it in bitesize chunks (maybe small snippets across the 20 transfer threads) because a hefty dose like that makes me come over all woozy as I’m not very used to it on here :lou_wink_2:

That’s cuz BS is somewhat indisposed at the moment…filtering his usual pearls of wisdom through a 3mm nozzle.

My bad.

I did try and dumb it down with the use of ‘Hoj Poj’…

Is that the diameter of a clown’s pocket? I thought it would be wider.
