:efl: ⚽ The Financial impact of Covid-19 on the lower leagues

Their VAT free window has been extended from 2011 to 2031…they should be OK.

As long as their heroes don’t insist on being paid.

More mismanagement but with Covid no real easy way back.

May lose Southend Utd today as well. HMRC Unpaid tax Winding Up hearing later

I don’t think that’s down to Covid. They’ve had a complete loon in charge for several years, refusing to pay the staff , but also turning down numerous offers for the club.

Yeah agree with Macc but then nobody is gonna buy/bail out a basket case right now

Some numbers.

The lower leagues are now in real trouble with fans return delayed

One solution maybe

Poor old Arsenal have made redundant a guy who for the last 27 years has probably only worked 20 days a year, because they are too poor because of coronavirus, having just spunked £45m on a new player :lou_eyes_to_sky:

Yeah, not a good look for them on Social Media even before Ozil stepped up.

Equally.
Why have a mascot when you have no fans…

But Ozil said he’d pay for as long as he’s at the club. His contract finishes at the end of the season.

Not exactly the commitment I first thought it was

Not going to break the bank but good for Jerry short term.

As already said, not a good look for Arse-nal
