West Ham ahead by an offside goal. Clear as day, but VAR took 5 minutes to decide otherwise. I can only assume they took the view that he didn’t actually touch the ball, but he was right on top of Meslier who would certainly have held the ball if Bowen hadn’t clattered past him.
