🥂 🍻 The enjoying a sensible drink thread

If you come to the Philippines do not order this.

The closest you would get to it in England is lager and black but its not even that good.
NB lager and black was bad

Old Loughtonians Hockey Club.
A nice Lager coloured bottled Ale on a cold night while Grandson does training.

A nice clubhouse, a full sized & half sized pitch, was a base for the Olympic Hockey in 2012, and the club has a rich history of producing Team GB players.

Grandson loves his hockey (clearly not taken one in the nuts yet)

Cold as hell freezing over outside, thank fook I packed warm waterproof gear a great Cold Super Moon and lovely old “village” club vibes that I miss

Christmas Eve, after a pretty bad few weeks/months and I’m treating myself.

A bottle of Château de la Madonne Vielle Vignes Fleurie cru. Well, not a bottle because my stepson has discovered it and half demolished it. Bastard.

Followed by a 12 year old Fleur de Caña Nicaraguan rum, which I last drank in Nicaragua (at 25% of the price) 10 years ago in happier times.

But bring it on 2026. I’m ready for you and it’s going to be way better. Happy Christmas one and all.

All is forgiven. He’s got out his 18yo Lagavulin which I reckon is £200 a bottle. I’m hammering it.

  1. Because I cooked lunch which was of course superb.
