Not being above kicking someone when they’re down I though Lovren played a lot better than VVD tonight…but that’s really damning when you think Lovren played crap too. :lou_wink_2:

Absolutely stunning goal from Bale. The only person who seemed to be unimpressed with it was Christiano Ronaldo. For Bale’s second he actually appeared to show displeasure when it went in. I don’t think it is any secret that he is very precious about his superstar status at Real, and resented Bale’s big money arrival and all the fanfare that went with it. I thought he had a crap game tonight, shouting at Bale when he went for a shot to get a hat trick instead of passing to him. Even though he did exactly the same thing himself twice in the first half. That resentment is clearly still felt. He is undoubtedly a wonderfully gifted footballer with great skills, capable of scoring stunning goals. Just a pity that he is such a petulant, narcissistic twat.

Marvellous.

You’ve got to feel sorry for Salah. Ramos “tackle” is probably the most cynical I’ve seen in a final. He knew what he was doing, which was to deliberately attempt to take out the best player in the other side. Ramos should have walked for that, but didn’t. Guess that’s why he’s the “best” in the business.

Apart from that, Liverpool imploded, Karius in particular. The fallout will be interesting. This is the third final they’ve reached under Klopp, and they haven’t won any of them. I don’t think he will go, but equally, I don’t think Liverpool fans will have been too happy at Adam Lallana being their stand in for Mo Salah.

“A good footballer”, said the commentator, as Nivea Boy took to the field.

Well, possibly, but even if that’s true you need fantastic players. There’s a reason Bale was ripping up the Premier League, La Liga and the Champions while Adam was making his way up the leagues with us, and it’s not because Lallana was particularly loyal.

Nice to see UK Benefits money revitalising a Nations’ economy though

Heh, says the expat, with his telescope, made from a rolled up copy of the Daily Mail.

Unemployment is not really a problem in the UK, Phil. Its the fact that people aren’t paid enough that is the problem.

It’s Austerity innit :lou_eyes_to_sky:

Meanwhile, anyone else still got a grin on their face this morning?
