We’ve chosen our four nominees – now it’s up to you to decide which Southampton star wins the Under Armour Player of the Month award for September.
It was a wonderful couple of weeks for Saints, as they won four consecutive matches, while also earning a draw in their Europa League trip to Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
As a result, there were plenty of impressive individual performances, but we’ve whittled the list down to four for you to choose from.
Charlie Austin enjoyed a superb couple of weeks, scoring five times in the space of four matches, kick-started by his brace in the 3-0 Europa League win over Sparta Praha.
Goalkeeper Fraser Forster also had a month to remember, keeping five clean sheets, with his late save from Gylfi Sigurdsson preserving an important 1-0 Premier League victory over Swansea City.
Also playing a key role in the impressive defensive run was centre-half Virgil van Dijk, who has been nominated for the second month in succession.
Rounding off the nominations is midfielder Oriol Romeu, who has been a magnificent presence in the centre of midfield.
